United Integrated Laboratories LLC (UIL) was established in 2019. UIL signed an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth & Water Resources (MAFWR) to operate and manage the Central Laboratory for Phytosanitary and Food Safety. Today, UIL is working side by side with MAFWR to assure safety and quality of agricultural and food products. Other branches of UIL include a branch in Sohar Logistics Hub and another in Khazaen Fruit and Vegetable Central Market.

This includes database that contains sample information such as type, country of origin, tests performed and results thus facilitating the development of the appropriate strategy towards products imported to our country. This also enables conducting studies that promote quality and safety. UIL actively working to expand its laboratory services and branches. It further aspires to expand in related services such as training, consultancy and certifications.

The Central Laboratory for Phytosanitary and Food Safety provides various testing services across ten laboratories five chemistry laboratories and five biology laboratories. The laboratory also provides consultancy services by technical experts in the fields of plant phytosanitary and food safety.

The Laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies and instruments that enable many analysis of different commodities including water, agricultural and food products. Our staff are trained to the highest standards and are experts in their field and have experience in meeting both international and local regulations for a wide range of industries.

United Integrated Laboratories operates a total of 10 labs, evenly split between chemistry and biology facilities. These labs are staffed by top-notch chemists and biologists. The main lab, The Central Laboratory for Phytosanitary and Food Safety, is situated in Rumays, Barka. The second lab can be found in the Sohar Logistics Hub, playing a crucial role in maintaining food safety and security in the region. Currently, UIL is in the process of establishing its third laboratory at the Khazaen Central Fruit & Vegetable market, further expanding its reach and capabilities
